Comments: Associazione Calcio Venezia were managed by Luciano Spalletti during the '99/00 season which they spent fighting an ultimately losing battle to avoid relegation from Serie A.

The club from Venice are known as; Gli Arancioneroverdi (The Orange-Black-Greens), I Lagunari (The Lagoonal Ones) or I Leoni Alati (The Winged Lions).

After 300 appearances for Jubilo Iwata in the J-League, Nanami moved to Venezia and spent the '99/00 season on loan. He also represented his country from 1995-2001. Other notable names in the Venezia squad this season were Massimo Taibi and Bruno N'Gotty.
